About Naman Mukund

Naman Mukund is a graduate of IIT Delhi and a co-founder of Tekie. Having led and scaled tech and products for Edtech startups, He has gained insights into the Edtech domain and witnessed the difference education can make. However, he feels that there were very few avenues for school students to learn tangible skills that can help them become innovators and changemakers.

ABout Tekie

Tekie is an application-based live coding platform for kids that brings the art of storytelling to make learning a movie-like experience. We are entirely reimagining education as the learning habits of the current generation are changing, and our education system has not been able to keep up with it. To solve this, We introduced a first-of-its-kind curriculum that teaches text-based coding to kids aged 10+ with a long-format of animated sitcom series.

Our focus is on kid’s engagement and tangible learning outcomes that can prepare them for the future. We aim to empower the next generation with future-ready skills and help them become innovators and changemakers.

Our product-first approach to delivering online coding lessons has resulted in high customer loyalty and learning impact.

We have seen a great response to our first course – Intro to Programming. And since our launch in June 2020, we’ve had 15000+ students learning text-based coding on our platform.

Our focus right now is to partner with schools to provide a robust coding infrastructure to them. Coding is an essential skill for the future and introduced in the school curriculum under NEP2020 as a 21st-century skill. We aim to ensure high-quality coding education is available to every school kid in the country.
